Maker Reporter #35 - WaggleDo®

There’s birds and there’s bees. Birds tweet. Bees buzz. A humming sound as of bees. Bees do things. Bees do things they are good at doing. They keep the hive going.

All bees are busy, but some bees are more busy than others; the busy bees. Busy bees need bees. Not ‘Wunderlists’. We are building WaggleDo® for the busy bees amongst us, people like ourselves. A next generation smart private messaging platform.

We hack life. We love what we do. We want to get the most out of life. Living life to the max. Whatever that may be. We manage buzz. Buzz you create. Buzz work creates. Buzz life creates. We build software for any device of your choice.

WaggleDo® is a next generation private messaging platform to manage buzz, in 1 place, a lifetime long. We are building WaggleDo® for the generation of our children, born in Wifi, glued to their smartphones, communicating using ultra-short messages, unaware of e-mail…

We are Danny and Freek. We share a love for software. We complement each-other. Danny is an experienced full-stack developer and I myself, I am a solution architect, user experience designer and take care of all other buzz so Danny can concentrate and focus on coding WaggleDo®.

We met a couple of years ago in Den Bosch when building Apps for customers. This is where I first shared my thoughts and asked Danny if he wanted to join me in building WaggleDo®. We established the company and started working part-time to realize our now shared dream.

Recently we were seed funded allowing us to quit our obligations and focus full-time (yes! :-). We are working towards a coded demo, private crowdfunding and informal investment to have WaggleDo® say ‘hello world’.

We have chosen Brainport Eindhoven as our place to be. Both our networks reside in and around Eindhoven. And, of course, we need brains to make WaggleDo® a success. We chose Strijp-S as we need an attractive living and work environment to pull talented people; Microlab because of it’s relaxed ambience and full service concept. We already feel at home @Microlab.

As we are ambitious and will be challenging some of the big guys and girls out there, we operate in stealth mode. We will be behind the moon for a while. You won’t be hearing from us until we want you to hear us.
